Food and Drink Festival

Taking place on May 12 & 13, The Scarborough Food & Drink Festival will be a two day culinary celebration. The brand new, FREE major event will feature guest appearances from Michelin Star chefs including Andrew Pern and James MacKenzie, a wealth of exhibits and live music.

In addition, there'll be cookery demonstrations from local chefs, artisan food specialists exhibiting delicious produce, traditional real ales, Pimms & cocktail bars, and some of Yorkshire’s finest restaurants serving their signature dishes.

For anyone who's passionate about their food and drink, this cuisine-based carnival promises to stimulate the senses and tantalise the tastebuds. Buon Appetito!

Spa Spring Spectacular

March's highlight is theTop Secret Blues Festival with bluesters from across the world boarding the Spa'stwo stages across the weekend of 16-18.

Scarborough Sci-fi is the big draw in April, featuring stars from Harry Potter, Doctor Who and Star Wars, in addition to a cosplay competition, a trading hall, video gaming and model displays.

The beginning of May sees the first of the Spa's Summer shows which run until September, before the third annual Scarborough Tattoo Show on May 19-20. Over 50 hand picked, award-winning tattoo artists and over 500 attendees.

Tour de Yorkshire

To cycling fans in our region, springtime means only one thing; the return of the Tour de Yorkshire.

Now amongst the UK's most prestigious sportives, the 4th edition of the Tour de Yorkshire promises to be the biggest yet. The 2018 event sees the main race extended out to four racing days (May 3-6); the women's race, meanwhile, doubles in length, taking place over two days (May 3-4).

This year's race is especially anticipated in the DYC region as the tour visits two brand new destinations; Richmond makes its Tour debut with a race start on Day 3 (Friday 5 May); Filey features for the first time later the same day, before Scarborough hosts a race finish for a record fourth consecutive year.

Racing returns to the Mount

First up is the Bob Smith Spring Cup Road Races, taking place over the weekend of 21-22 April. The Spring Cup Races are followed a fortnight later with the 2018 Festival of Speed Bike and Car Hill Climb, running 5-7 May.

Anyone wishing to attend either racing weekend is advised to book early to avoid disappointment, with discounts are available on early purchases.
